27 Apr Ana Popović and Dub FX play Arsenal 07!

Blues guitarist Ana Popović will perform on Arsenal Fest’s Main Stage in Kragujevac on 23rd of June, and Dub FX, an Australian music sensation, will play there too on 24th of June.

“I like to mix all genres together jazz, reggae, hip-hop, samba, drum n bass, dubstep. whatever I’m feeling at the moment, that’s the beauty of my setup”, says Benjamin Stanford, who sold hundreds of millions of his records under the Dub FX moniker. His videos have so far gathered over 150 million views on YouTube.

Stanford, who started as a street musician and has been able to shake up numerous big festivals around the globe, doesn’t really need more than his voice, a FX pedal and a loop machine to attract any audience’s attention. The results are spectacular, as one can hear in “Flow”, “Love Someone”, “No Rest For The Wicked”, “Soothe Your Pain” and other Dub FX hits.

“Ana Popovic is one helluva a guitar-player”, was a claim, made a long time ago by legendary Bruce Springsteen, about the female musician born in Belgrade and living in Los Angeles, who used to share stage with such great artists as B.B. King, Joe Bonamassa and Gary Clark Jr. She’s coming to Kragujevac for the first time.

Being famous for her live performances, Popovic has been tirelessly playing big fesivals around the world with her backing band, and she is coming to Arsenal while promoting her new album “Trilogy” (2016), a triple one and by far her most ambitious to date: a fascinating collecition of 23 blues, jazz and funky tracks.

‘I just have to play live. That is something I enjoy immensely, and, if it ever stopped, I probably wouldn’t be me anymore”, says Popović.

Arsenal Fest 07 will be held on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th in Kragujevac.

This is an open air event, and is held on three picturesque locations: Knežev arsenal (a former ammunition factory frm 19th century), Zastavina bašta (a colourful place full of greenery) and Čaurnice (a rustic building that is set nearby).
