Legendary trash metal band Anthrax wil perform in Serbia for the first time, on 22nd of June, on Arsenal Fest 07 in Kragujevac!!! Anthrax – with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer one of “The Big Four” trash metal bands – is the Main Stage headliner of the first festival’s night, and will begin playing at 21:00.
Founded in New York 1981, Anthrax underwent numerous phases of musical development, with several lineup changes over their career. The group, that sold more than 10 million albums, recorded such trash metal classics as “Madhouse”, “Indians”, “Got The Time”, “Caught In A Mosh”, “I’m The Man” and “Bring The Noise” (featuring Public Enemy).
The last year’s album For All Kings follows the path of Anthrax’s creative rise, started with the previous album Worship Music (2011). The band’s singer Joey Belladona, rhythm guitarist Scott Ian, drummer Charlie Benant, bassist Frank Bello and solo guitarist Jon Donais will show in Kragujevac why Anthrax is rightly considered one of the world’s most powerful metal bands live.
“We’ve been doing this for 35 years now. We are who we are, we can’t be something we’re not, we can’t bullshit people…that’s just a New York mentality”, says Frank Bello, summing up the essence of Anthrax.
Arsenal Fest 07 will be held on June 22nd, 23rd and 24th in Kragujevac. This is an open air event, and is held on three picturesque locations: Knežev arsenal, Zastavina bašta (Zastava’s Garden) and a rustic building called Čaurnice that is set nearby.
The ticket package (for all days of the festival) can be purchased for just 1.800 RSD in the promo period, and a single ticket for 1.000 RSD.
Tickets can be bought via Eventim, and can also be purchased in Dom omladine Kragujevac, Branka Radičevića 1, on Sundays (12:00 – 20:00) and Mondays (09:00-21:00)
